Cluso Visual Inspection System:
The Cluso Visual Inspection System is a unit that will help you at any point in your process where you have someone visually inspecting your product with a microscope. Often the system gets confused for an AOI system, when it is not, as there are several key differences, primarily AOI requires a lot of intensive programming (too tight and everything fails - too loose and failures pass) and also AOI is Automatically Inspecting the product, where as the Cluso unit is providing the operator with a tool to properly document their inspection of the product. The Cluso system requires NO PROGRAMMING! Simply import the Centroid Data and the BOM Data and scan a golden board and you are off and running! The system was designed around the application of First Article Inspection and has grown into many other applications, from New Product Introduction, Small Bath, Audit and many more. The Cluso system uses an industrial line scanning technology that has been optimized for use as an inspection tool. It eliminates an operator from taking their eyes off the board, to the BOM, and back again by bringing all the information to the front on the screen, thus allowing an operator to inspect and document their inspection on each board. The scan of the PCB to be inspected takes ~1-4 minutes depending on component size and density, which will determine at what DPI you need to scan. If you would like any information on the unit, please feel free to contact us! Below is a PDF of the PowerPoint presentation and also a PDF on the Cluso literature.
Ersa IR650 Rework Station - Refurbished Units available at a great discount!
The IR650 uses medium wavelength dark Infrared technology for reworking components as compared to convectional heating standards. In using Infrared, there is no need for expensive nozzles for each component, there reducing the cost of additional tooling necessary for rework. Also, since there is no nozzle in the way, the process is open and you are able to visually witness solder reflow. Furthermore, Infrared heats more evenly, whereas convection can have hot and cold spots. The IR650 is driven by a microprocessor that reads the component temperature through a non-contact Infrared sensor and a variety of K-Type thermocouples that are available. By default, the Infrared sensor provides feedback to the microprocessor and the microprocessor applies more/less heat as appropriate to achieve the desired profile that you input. The rework station is coupled with a semi-automatic placement system that will assist with PCB-Component alignment and placement.
The IR650 has plenty of power (4600w) and many control features to allow you to achieve an affordable, repeatable and reliable rework solution for your process. This unit has a list price of $65,000 USD, but there are currently refurbished units that will become available for $45,000 USD. If you would like further information, please let us know.
