Ersa i-Con uses 150w of power in addition to accurate tip temperature measurement to produce efficient and repeatable results at lower soldering temperatures. The station is ultra-light weight and has a fast heat up time (8 sec. colld start). Additionally, the Iron (Fe) plating on the tip is increased from the industry average of 100-200 micron to an amazing 300-600 micron. The thicker the Iron plating at the tip, the longer the life of the tip, especially considering the aggressiveness of the Tin (Sn) in today's Pb-Free environment.

The Trident uses the patented Focus Wash technology in order to increase the effectiveness of the cleaning system, additionally maintenance of this system is simplified with the front panel access. A batch cleaning system allows for the reuse of chemistries, by seperating the Wash and the Rinse cycles. This helps to reduce operational costs of the PCB cleaning process.

The Niton analyzer is a handheld XRF (X-Ray Fluourescence) device, that allows you to non-destructively test materials for WEEE/RoHS compliance. This unit provides you with encrypted data (tamper proof) and wireless (Bluetooth) PC interface. This unit is capable of either a 3mm or 8mm test spot, depending on configuration. Additionally the PC is built-in so there is no need to worry about losing the Palm, making the unit useless. Unit comes with two Lithium Ion batteries that will last for approx. 8 hours each.

Did you know that Pb-Free doesn't always mean Pb-Free?

The WEEE/RoHS directive states that Pb-Free compliant is less than 1000 ppm Pb content, this could mean that 999 ppm would be deemed WEEE/RoHS compliant and in many people's eyes it would also be Pb-Free when it really isn't.

Did you know that the Ersa i-Con has approx. 200-600 micron Iron (Fe) plating at the soldering tip? That's 2-6 times more than the industry average. The more Iron plating, the longer the tips will withstand the Sn leeching.

The ersa Hybrid Tool uses a combination of two technologies, Convection (Hot Air) and Medium Wavelength Infared for a quick, safe and repeatable rework process. Combining the two technologies allows for the use of Air at low air volumes, which reduces the risks of blowing adjacent components away. The Hybrid Tool is the introductory tool of the Ersa rework line, see also the IR/PL650 and the IR/PL550 rework stations.
