Qualitek is the manufacturer of Solder Pastes, Bar, Flux, Wire and other various soldering supplies. They have manufacturing plants in many regions of the world, including: U.S., U.K, Singapore, and Mexico.

BAR SOLDER/Q-CHIPS

One of their products is Bar Solder. They manufacture virgin bar solder, meaning the metals are not reclaimed, but pure metals instead. This has a large effect on the quality of the solder join, in addition to maintenance costs of equipment and processes. For example, you may save money by purchasing reclaimed bar; however, it is more suceptible to oxidation which will require other materials, i.e. Nitrogen, Pot DeOxidizers and cleaning chemicals to maintain the solder pot. These added costs should be factored into the initial cost of reclaimed bar solders when comparing virgin and reclaimed.

SOLDER PASTE

Qualitek manufactures a variety of solder pastes, including No-Clean, Water Soluble and RMA flux formulations. They allso have an assortment of Pb-Free solder pastes available with their Green Lead Free Paste technology. This technology allows you to visually tell the difference between Leaded and Lead-Free solder pastes while they are on the stencil. After the solder paste is reflowed the Green color disappears, leaving you with standard color/appeance solder joints. However, there is a built in tracer that allows you to inspect the solder joints under a UV lamp which will allow you to confirm, post reflow, that Pb-Free solder was used on the assembly.

Wire Solder

Qualitek Wire solder comes in a variety of formulations including No-Clean, Water Soluble, RMA and Solid Core wire solders. Diameters range from 0.015"-0.092" diameter wire solders. Wire solders can contain 0% (Solid Core), 1.1%, 2.2%, 3.3% and 4.4% flux cores.

Super DeOX

Super DeOX is an product for managing the Dross formation on wave solder machines. Use of this product will prolong the life of the solder pot and assist ain avoiding the associated costs of dumping a solder pot and it's alloy content.

Ceasolder

Ceasolder is made for masking off the PCB during the Wave Soldering process. Ceasolder comes in a 12 oz container and is available in the peelable format. Qualitek also has a Water Soluble version; however, this part would be subject to a minimum order of 12 containers.
